Expert Translator Subtitler and Ghostwritter

Dachiny Ewekengha also known as Dash, is an English to French and Lingala Translator from the Republic of Congo.

After working as a receptionist, two years after graduating from the local university with a master’s degree in Translation in 2014, Dash decided to become a Full-time Professional translator as of 2018.

He is the very first subtitler in the Republic of Congo; and was a Remote Project Manager for an audiovisual translation agency based in Switzerland where he worked on projects for top content producers.

He has also worked as a Project Manager for other translation companies, where he was able to learn more about best practice to ensure that he always delivers quality work. His mastery of CAT tools such as Trados and Memoq, and his expertise with subtitling tools such as Ooona and Subtitle Edit, enable him to offer his services to fellow translators who would like to hone their skills as language professionals.

He is also a member of the Proz Subtitlers Pool, consultant translator for various orgs including WHO, The Congo Bassin Climate Commission, The Conservation Through Economic Empowerment project in the Republic of Congo and a volunteer  for Translator Without Borders.

Dash is happily married and proud father of a beautiful little girl and an amazing little boy.
